  Let me preface this by saying that I am not sure what type of insurance agent this guy is. He may be ok as far as insurance sales go, but I can speak what type of person this guy is as a land lord.... This guy is absolute crook in my opinion. Plays up to be a good christian and good guy but he isn't. He is a slum lord that basically hosed me ot of about $1000 when I moved ot of his rental house in Ripon after 3 WEEKS because of several BIG problems with the house that I wouldnt let my family live with. Additionally, after i informed him that i was leaving, he let a "contractor" in the house he rented to me unsupervised while I was out of town. I told him i didn't want anyone in the house whail i was out of town , he told me either he or his son would be there the whole time and everything would be fine. my mistake for trusting him. When I got back several valuable guitars were missing and when he was confronted he said he didn't know anything about that but then admitted that he did leave the contractor (Dustin Spurgis) there unsupervised to go to the store (for 2 hours according to the neighbor) and the contractor must have did it.. well I filed a police report and it turns out the contractor probably did do it and I got a couple guitars back ( that the contractor (Dustin) said he got back for me from some kids which is BS) but not all.. When I moved out the house was 1000 times cleaner than when I moved in and he had the nerve to take half my pet deposit and I had to fight to get my regular deposit back becasue I didn't give him 30 days notice.. well the law is on my side on this and I didnt have to give notice for cause which I certainly had.. I was out the rest of the months rent and all the money I had into fixing the fence and cleaning and the stress of living in a house that had black mold and cats living under the house no heat for several days, no hot water for several days etc etc.... I rented this place sight unseen and he took advantage of the fact that I needed somewhere for my family to live and when we moved here from the midwest, I had a short time frame in which to find a place. My bad for trusting someone, his bad for being a bad person. I could type all day about what I had to put up with those few weeks. $1000 is worth not having to deal with him and his dump of a house. But I am missing some really nice guitars that I built, that I won't get back and can't be replaced and I am torqued about that. He may be a good insurance agent.. But my dealings with him may speak to his character and I can say from my experience he is not a good landlord your experience may vary.. I wish you luck..

  Worst experience I've ever had with an insurance agent. Said he wouldn't cover anything on my accident. I called Farmer's and of course they helped me and covered everything. This is not a review of Farmer's Insurance, just of Larry McCarren, who was so rude to me.
